How far has car industry technology come in recent years? From being a luxury way back in the 1930’s to the cheap affordable way you can buy them now using car contract hire it is amazing just how far they have come.
One of the best ways I can talk about this is to use my knowledge of games. I’m going to go back to the days of the Super Nintendo Entertainment System or SNES for short. There are previous consoles I could cover as well but as my first proper console was the SNES it is best to really only cover from here. One of the first driving games I ever played was F1 pole position which was released way back in 1993, which, for it’s time was brilliant.
Seeing the newer version on the Nintendo 64 it was remarkable to see how much difference there was in just a small gap of four years. The jump graphically is simply fantastic. The jump from 2-D to 3-D that took place during these two games is a huge leap in the technology. The next jump skips the next generation of consoles and forms itself onto the PS3 and Xbox 360 as some of the graphics on the driving games on these consoles are so realistic it is truly unreal.V.
Of course the transition did not just happen to the gaming industry, there have been many advancements in the technology of the car over the same period of time. I think that the best invention to come to the car industry in many years has to be the invention of the Hybrid car. They save on a lot of energy which is going to be useful when all the oil runs out in the not too distant future and in all honesty some of them look pretty awesome. As well as this recent technology enables them to run for longer by putting charge into the vehicle whenever you break.
Some of the other technology in the car is fantastic such as the touchscreen’s and the never to be forgotten tomtom system.
Hybrid cars will become increasingly more important in years to come but when buying a car now you need one that looks good as well as being affordable. Leased cars can work out a lot cheaper? The Audi contract hire looks pretty good as well as being as little as £214 a month.
